2/5 - Read "Appeal of Love Themes in Music" article.

2/10 - Read "Summary and Response" chapter.

2/12 - Annotate lyrics of your song and write summary. Read Chapter 3 (Affection) of The Four Loves.

2/17 - Complete reflection section of your essay.

2/19 - Finish final draft of Summary & Response essay.

2/24 - Finalize S&R essay and submit to Moodle link before 3:30 pm on Wednesday, 2/26. Read Act I of Fences.

2/26 - Read Act II of Fences. Complete research paper topic inventory worksheet (located in the "Research Paper" section) and submit to Moodle link (located in the "Research Paper" section) before 3:30 pm on Monday, March 2.

3/2 - Compose a research question for your research paper. Bring to library session on Wednesday, March 4.

3/4 - Compile 6-8 sources for your research paper in an electronic folder. Begin to read and annotate sources. Submit final Fences literary analysis to Moodle link (located in the "Storge" section) before 3:30 pm on Monday, March 9.

3/9 - Continue reading sources for research paper. Submit take-home midterm exam to Moodle link (located in "Midterm Exam" section) before 11:59 pm on Friday, March 13.

3/11 - Compose 1-paragraph argument for research paper and bring printed copy to class on Monday, March 16. Finish and submit take-home midterm exam to Moodle link (located in "Midterm Exam" section) before 11:59 pm on Friday, March 13.

3/16 - Finish outline of research paper and submit to Moodle link (located in "Research Paper" section). 

3/18 - Work on research paper draft. You should have at least 4 full pages completed and printed out to bring to class on Monday, March 30. 

For your midterm exam, you will compose an annotated bibliography for your research paper. Your annotated bibliography should include 4 entries. Each entry should include:

- bibliographic information in MLA style, 

- a short original (written by you) summary of the source, 

- an evaluation of the source 

- a relevance statement

You should upload this document to the Moodle link below before 11:59 pm on Friday, March 13. Remember that this is worth 20% of your overall course grade.
