In lieu of the Job Analysis project
I am now making a revision to the extra credit paper option and the previously
required Presentation aspect. These will be combined such that you will be
writing a required APA format paper of at least 5 pages on a topic of your
choice (i.e.,
that has not already been covered in our regular class session and must be
approved by me via email). This is an
opportunity for you to gain additional information on a topic in the I/O realm
that is pertinent to you. Additionally, preparing and delivering a “presentation”
to convey difficult material in a manner that is readily generalizable to a
wide range of audiences typically demonstrates
a higher level of understanding and integration.
o
Papers must be well-written, typed,
double-spaced, in Times Roman 12-point font, with 1” margins. Include a title
page with your name, the topic on which you are writing, and the Reference(s)
to which you are referring (i.e., APA citations).
o
Papers should be AT LEAST 5 PAGES.
An abstract is not required and the Title
Page and Works Cited will not count toward page total.
o
I will be extremely generous on the types
of sources utilized. However, when possible, try to use peer-reviewed and/or
more academic papers via BSC Library resources and Google Scholar.
o
Must cite at least 5 sources other than
the textbook.
o
Failure to comply by any of these
guidelines will result in point deductions.
o
A “presentation” of at least 10 PowerPoint
slides should accompany your paper.
o
Topics must be approved by the
instructor via email.
