Topic 10 Highlights of your work
Not published to students
Current
Everyone demonstrates your understanding of Yin Yang Theory. Good job! Some highlights are listed as follows:
1. Chaos and order can only exist exclusively for so long until the other is needed to restore balance. “No form” is needed to foster form and there is “No form” without form.
2. Instead of shaming someone for being different, be thankful because without them, there is no comparison for yourself.
3. My dad always says that there is someone better than you & someone worse than you, He used to tell me this & say use the “better” people to motivate yourself to improve & use the “worse” people to be proud of yourself.
4. Yin Yang means balance between opposites. It also means that everything has a purpose in the way of life.
5. Yin Yang are 2 complementary forces working with & against each other to create a balance in the universe.
6. Shadow are created by light and light shines in the shadows.

Discussion 2
Available but not shown on course pageNot published to studentsAfter taking four Taiji classes, most of us are familiar with the 24 steps of Yang style Taiji. Assuming you are a Taiji instructor, if there are some foreign students who want to take Taiji classes, how would you introduce it to them? And how could you attract more students to your course? Please respond to any two of your classmates' posts, and give them positive feedback and advice.

1. The quiz is attached. No discussion with your classmates. If you have any questions, please let me know.
2. Oral Presentation
Up to now, we have covered Yin Yang theory in five areas. Chinese food, martial art--Taiji (太极 tài jí), folk art--papercutting (剪纸 jiǎn zhǐ), traditional art--calligraphy (书法 shū fǎ) and national sport (Table tennis 乒乓球 pīng pāng qiú). Please choose one area you are interested in and do some research on it. You are welcome to introduce its history, application, benefits, connections to culture and daily life, or whatever you think you want to elaborate. You can work alone or work in groups. 6-10 slides would be perfect. We'll present it this Wednesday.
Please feel free to let me know if you have any questions.
