Sketches due: end of class on Wednesday, March 9
Final due: beginning of class on Wednesday, March 16
If your project is not complete by the beginning of class on March 16 it will be docked one letter grade.
March 16 is the last class time before spring break and will be our critique day for this project. ATTENDANCE IS MANDATORY. Any unexcused absence on critique days will result in a lowered letter grade. Be prepared to see and discuss your peers work on critique days even if your project is not completed.
Project 3 - Identity Color Match

Not published to studentsCurrentUsing digital images, you will make 3 abstract compositions in the shape of rhombi. Each composition should be a different color contrast system (explained below). You will then duplicate, repeat, and arrange these rhombi into a larger pattern. This composed pattern will be printed and submitted for a grade.
Simultaneous Contrast Systems:
· Complementary
o The tints and shades of two complementary colors
o Neutral hues mixed from the two complementary colors
· Analogous
o 3-5 colors that reside next to each other on the color wheel
o The tints and shades of the analogous colors
· Triad
o Three colors equal distance from each other on the color wheel
o The tints and shades of the three colors chosen
