Hi everyone,
This is the prompt for the Oral Midterm next Wednesday (March 16).
You are required to do a 3-4 minutes one man show on one of these two topics:
1. You are a student and this is the first day of class.
2. You are the Arabic teacher. You conduct the class.
3. You have invited a friend to a family reunion.
Grading Criteria for Oral Exams (class skits and midterm and final oral exams):
Variety of Vocabulary= 20% (that we learned in ARB 102, not ARB 101)
Grammar= 20% (that we learned in ARB 102, not ARB 101)
Creativity= 10%
Content= 10%
Logical progression= 20%
Pronunciation and fluency= 20%
Feel free to show me your skit and practice your one man show in my office before the day of the exam.Best,

Final Oral Exam
(Media Project) 10%
For the Final oral exam, you are required to make an 8-10-minute video in Arabic in which you create a one woman show or a skit (dialogue) with a classmate about 1 of the 2 scenarios below:
Scenario 1: You meet an Arabic native speaker. You speak about your hometowns.
Scenario 2: You go shopping for clothes with a friend.
Scenario 3: You go to a wedding with a friend.
The video length is 5-8 minutes.
Grading Criteria:
Variety of Vocabulary=20%
Grammar=20%
Creativity= 10%
Content=10%
Logical progression= 20%
Pronunciation and fluency=20%
Deadline: Thursday, May 12, 2022 at 12:00 p.m.
It is your responsibility to find a class partner for your oral project and to find someone to record the skit.
Please feel free to come practice your skit for pronunciation in my office hours.
