This is a timed exam. You'll have 120 minutes (2 hours) once you start, and you can start any time during a window that goes from Friday, March 4 @ 6pm - Monday, March 7 @ 8 am.

You may not use any other resources besides your own memory to complete this exam (excepting the resources listed below).  Also, don't talk with others about this exam until after scores are published. The Honor Code applies to these and all other aspects of the exam just as it would normally. 

For this exam you will need the following:

·         several sheets of blank paper and pen or pencil for doing math or sketching figures/illustrations.

·         a calculator (phone calculator is fine)

·         a cell phone or other device that can take a photo (image) of your hand-written work, and send that image to your email account.  You will then download the image from email to your computer, and then upload the image into the Moodle exam.  Be sure you can do these steps, or something like them, before you start the exam. Note that if you are working from a laptop or tablet that can take an image of your written work, that would be easier and be just fine.

NOTE:  Moodle has a glitch. On all the essay questions, it is forcing me to require an attached file to your response.  This is good for those questions that require an attached image file.  It is confusing for all the other essay questions that don’t require an attached image.  However, based on what I read on Moodle’s glitch page and based on my testing, you can submit answers to these essay questions even if you don’t include an attached image.  Thus, you should be able to ignore those warnings.  If, however, Moodle really does force you to upload an image, then just upload some random image to satisfy it and move on.

This is a timed exam. You'll have 2 hours once you start.

Here are a few other things to consider before you start:

This exam is worth more than a regular term exam (150 points) and is a longer exam than the normal exam because it is cumulative.  There are 50 multiple choice questions.   There are about the same number of essay/short answer questions as in regular semester exams.  The exam period is 3 hours.
