This course introduces students to the world of data science and will empower students to use various computing tools to collect, explore, and analyze data through the investigation of data driven puzzles in a wide array of fields - political, economic, historical, social, biological, and others. While there will be an introduction to data science, it will be brief as we will advance very quickly.

    How this course will work:
This course will meet face-to-face as much as possible. I will record lectures so if you are unable to attend class, you can see what you missed. Please be sure to complete the readings before attending class. This will allow walk-throughs and discussions to go more smoothly.

This week, I want to make sure you have a solid understanding of Pandas. There are a few short quizzes I'd like you to try. I'd like to see presentations of the assignment from last week on Tuesday at 2:00 (if that time works for you). Please let me know if you have any questions. I have recordings from the lectures I delivered on these topics included as well.
