Motor Assignment
In class we looked at a circuit that activated a motor. Your assignment is to
make the motor: speed up, slow down, and switch to reverse. Research and play with the circuit, and tell me
how you accomplished this...
You only have to write enough to explain how you completed the above task.
For example, you can submit screen shots of the motor's (revolutions per minute) RPM to illustrate the requested tasks. This allows me to see how the motor behaved, but again, I need a write-up on how you executed the tasks.
PIR In Class Assignment
LED Assignment
Simulate the illustrated circuit. This circuit will light up the LED, research and explain how it works. Screenshots of the circuit along with the explanation is to be submitted. Your components will consist of:
Capacitors
Implement a circuit according to the given schematic and spreadsheet. Also, provide your finished product via screenshot onto a pdf file. In other words, provide me a writeup on the behavior of your circuit. Remember to build the circuit on a breadboard.
Light Chasing
Pulse Width Modulation
Implement a circuit according to the given schematic and spreadsheet. Also, provide your finished product via screenshot onto a pdf file. Follow the circuit with an explanation of the behavior of the circuit. Remember to build the circuit on a breadboard.
Rectifier
Implement a circuit according to the given schematic and spreadsheet. Also, provide your finished product via screenshot onto a pdf file. Follow the circuit with an explanation of the behavior of the circuit. Remember to build the circuit on a breadboard.

Safety Essay Details
Industrial Robots Safety Paper
Safety is important when operating automation and industrial robotics. But why should it be such an important focus? Please write a two page paper (using the template provided) discussing safety when working with industrial robotics and automation.
You will need to use a minimum of three academic references – please consider using the IEEE Spectrum or ACM Digital Library for your sources (accessible through the BSC Library). You can also go to https://spectrum.ieee.org/ and search there. You may use sources in addition to these, but a minimum of three must be academic (not wikipedia). You may include images in your paper (please be sure to cite the source), but make sure you only include a reasonable amount.
You may find the CAC resource guide within the library to be helpful: http://libguides.bsc.edu/cac/home.
Specifications
Length: 2 pages
Format: Please use the paper template provided on Moodle. It is posted immediately before this assignment.
Paper sections: Abstract, Introduction, Current Risk Factors, Safety Standards and Controls, Discussion, Conclusion, References
Reference format: ACM or APA
The Introduction section should include the following information:
The Current Risk Factors section should include the different types of risks that people working in the automation and industrial robotics industry face today, and how these risks can affect personal health.
The Safety Standards And Controls section of your paper should share any current industry standards and controls used to keep workers safe. It should also describe the significance of adhering to these current industry standards.
Discussion and Conclusion sections can be combined into one section if necessary. Include your personal perspective on the benefits of focusing on safety, and what improvements could be considered for future automation and robotics safety issues.

Inductors (copy)
Implement a circuit according to the given schematic and spreadsheet. Also, provide your finished product via screenshot onto a pdf file. Follow the circuit with an explanation of the behavior of the circuit. Remember to build the circuit on a breadboard.
Lecture JFET
JFET
Implement a circuit according to the given schematic and spreadsheet. Also, provide your finished product via screenshot onto a pdf file. Follow the circuit with an explanation of the behavior of the circuit. Also compare the N-Channel and P-Channel JFET. How are they similar and how are they the same? Which channel are we building? Remember to build the circuit on a breadboard.
Light Sensor
Implement a circuit according to the given spreadsheet in class. Please create your schematic without generating from Tinkercad. Also, show the current and voltage increase and decrease as light hits the photo resister. Also, explain your circuit.
