PH 122 - General Physics II

This is the second course in calculus-based physics for science and math majors. We will focus on thermal physics, electromagnetism, electric circuits, and geometric optics. You must have college credit for calculus-based General Physics I (PH 121 or equivalent).

    Topical Coverage

    • Unit 1: Electric and gravitational fields and potentials; capacitance; electric circuits.
    • Unit 2: Thermal properties of matter; thermodynamic processes.
    • Unit 3: Magnetism; Geometric optics
