This is where you can find quizzes and note their due dates. Quizzes will be posted (at least) 72 hours before they are due.
Quiz 3
This quiz is due by 11:59 pm on Wednesday 11/30.
You may take up to 5 attempts to earn your best score on the quiz and your grade will be determined by your best attempt out of the 5.
After each attempt, you will be able to see your total score (out of 45 points). Based on that information and the fact that each question is worth 5 points, you will be able to know how many answers you got right vs. wrong on the attempt (e.g., 30/45 indicates you responded incorrectly on three questions). I suggest writing which answers you submitted for each attempt on a notepad so you can be strategic about which answers to change for your next attempt.
You will not be able to see which questions you answered correctly and which questions you answered incorrectly until after the deadline.

Syllabus Quiz
This quiz is due on Wednesday 9/7 @ 11:59 pm.
Please carefully read instructions.
If the syllabus does not specify that an answer is false but it also does not say the answer is true, assume that the answer is false. For the final question, earn an easy point by selecting the second answer to demonstrate you are carefully reading.
You will find all three Pre-exam Self-assessments in this section with each posted a bit before it's deadline. Previous experience tells me you should anticipate taking about 8-15 minutes to complete a single self-assessment. Some people finish in less than 8 minutes but I tend to find that those submissions seem less thoughtful.
You'll only lose points for submissions that seem to clearly lack effort or due to not fully following instructions.
Please make sure to notice that these assignments have 2 parts. People sometimes miss Part 2 and you'll receive a score deduction if that happens.
This assignment is due on Monday 11/28 by 11:59pm. Late submissions will not be accepted for any credit.

Short Paper 2
This paper is due by 11:59pm on 11/29.
You can earn 5 extra credit points by getting coaching at the writing center or by turning in the paper at 11:59pm on 11/22. You can't get more extra credit points by using both of these options
You can also be granted a 48-hour extension until 11:59pm on 11/24 by getting coaching at the writing center. This 48-hour extension would be instead of the 5 extra credit points.
Please also remember to give me a hard copy of your paper by the class after your due date and follow the instructions for the format of the hard copy (e.g., put a blank sheet of paper between the end of your paper and a page with only your name, don't put your name anywhere else on the paper.)
Short Paper 1
This paper is due by 11:59pm on 10/18.
By getting coaching at the writing center, you can earn 5 extra credit points or be granted a 48-hour extension to 11:59pm on 10/20. If you are using the extension option, you must get coaching at the writing center by the end of 10/19.
