You will finish the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative (CITI) web-based courses to satisfy the requirement for training in human subject research. Please ONLY finish the “social & behavioral research investigators” basic course. Once you finish the training, you need to download the PDF certificate or screenshot your certificate. Then you need to upload your certificate (either PDF OR screenshot) to Moodle in order to earn full credit. THE SYSTEM WILL NOT AUTOMATICALLY SEND YOUR CERTIFICATE TO ME.

This is the data hub that I was talking about in class, where you can find many datasets that collected by others. Many of them are well-known, high quality datasets. This is a great place to explore secondary data, if you want to use secondary data to do your research. And, it is also a good place to find sample measurements if you want to collect primary data on your own.

In this project, you will work individually and collectively to help Girls Inc. find out how to better serve their customers at a time of pandemic. Collectively, you and your classmates will create a qualitative interview guide. Individually, you will interview one parent of a Girls Inc. customer and transcribe the data. This project is graded on a 100-point scale and worth 10% of your final grade.
