20FA_EPY260A-CI-Survey of Exceptional Children

A parent of a child with exceptionalities will be joining our class for one class period.  During this time groups of students will interview the parents regarding the realities of having a child with exceptionalities. If you are not present in class 10-6 for the interview, you will need to watch the recording after class, but the due date remains the same. Following that class period, students will answer the following questions in the paper:

1.         What is one issue discussed during the parent interview that you would like to       remember to make you a better teacher (or psychologist, doctor, neighbor, or friend) ?

2.         What information about the IEP formation and implementation was discussed with your   parent?

3.         What resources for children and families with special needs did your parent tell you          about?  How were these resources helpful?

The paper is due 10-7 before class-time. The paper is worth a total of 30 points.
