Completion requirements
Opened: Tuesday, 10 November 2020, 9:30 AM
Due: Friday, 20 November 2020, 11:59 PM

This project has three parts. I only need one report per group.

______________________________________________

Pre-game:

Please find a partner (or two), and find a data source that interests you from slide 17 in the posted lecture.

Complete the following:
1. Write a brief summary about what the data represents.
2. What are the fields or variables in the data?
3. List five questions you want to answer about the data. What information do you think you need to answer each question?
4. Without performing an analysis, what do you think the answers to the questions will be?

________________________________________
Analysis portion:

1. Download the data

2. Using Excel, perform the necessary analyses to answer the five questions you wrote down.

3. What were the real answers to each of the questions?

4. How accurate were your guesses? Explain how the actual answers were the same or different.

_____________________________________________
Write-up:

Please write a brief report of all of the information you collected. The report should be in Times, 12pt font. The format should have the title at the top, centered, and bold. The authors' names should be under the title (centered, not bold). Using justify (not left, not right, not center, the other one in Word) for the format of the text, please write your results. The following sections should be included where each section heading is on the left and bold.

Introduction - what data source did you choose? why?

Data - brief summary about what the data represents. what are the variables/fields in the data

Questions to be answered - five questions you want answered with the information (fields/variables) needed to answer each question, and your guesses to the questions.

Analysis and Results - for each question, describe how you answered it (used a built-in excel formula, graphed the data, filtered the data, created a pivot table, etc) and the answer. At least one of the five questions should use a graph.

Discussion - how did your guesses differ from the actual results

Conclusion - what did you take away from this experience? did you learn anything (either from the data or from using excel)?
