-300-word Introduction to Portfolio….5%

THE PORTFOLIO:

-300 word Introduction to your research this semester

-All of your major assignments from the semester all together in a single electronic document.

WHAT THE INTRODUCTION IS:

-This is a short 300-word write-up that introduces your research from the semester.

-You should talk about your episode and how you arrived at your research topic. You should talk about how your research evolved across your papers, and you should ultimately describe where you arrived with your findings.

-Another way to think about this essay is to think of it as a “stasis essay” about your EH 102 work: give us the history and context, define terms for us, show us your questions, the value of your topic, the conversations and controversies around your topic, and describe your audience.

-Additional kindly requests:

Please edit and proofread your essay before submitting it.

Please be real, and be honest. No BS or fluffy filler writing.

WHAT THE PORTFOLIO IS:

-The “Portfolio” part: the final drafts from all of your assignments (including Citations and Bibliographies) and your Introduction should be combined into one electronic document for submission with page numbers and a table of contents.

-Please include the original headers (name, class number, date, etc.) in your portfolio, as well.

-This completed portfolio will count for 20 pts. of quantitative participation.

-Please order and arrange your papers as follows:

            1) Introduction to Portfolio

            2) Analysis Essay

            3) Stasis Essay

            4) Research Assignment

            5) Counterargument and Audience Analysis

            6) Final Essay
