Read through the “Scholarship > Reproductive Policy” section of Caitlin Myers’ website to get a sense of the scope of her research. If a research article has a “Twitter version” or “Press release”, read that as well.
As part of your reflection, write out 6 questions you have for Dr. Myers. Put your 6 questions in the “Discussion” forum (right below this assignment on Moodle), and read your classmates ideas. They do not have to be questions exactly as long as they are thoughts that can generate discussion. Remember that you have seen 2 of her papers already.
Although not required and not within the scope of the class, I recommend reading the paragraph about the “Ladies first” research because it is interesting, easy, and fun (as fun as a field study on gender discrimination in coffee shop waiting times can be). You might enjoy asking her about it when she visits our class on Wednesday.
