22FA_IDS142F-Living a Life of Significance

Timeline

Completion requirements
Opened: Tuesday, 15 November 2022, 12:00 AM
Due: Thursday, 17 November 2022, 9:30 AM

Due by Class Thursday, Nov. 17

Make a timeline from now through 2031. Download and use the template below this assignment post.  Follow the steps below:

1. Start by adding significant milestones like graduation. What are the “big deal” items you can add that will help you see that you’re accomplishing your goals? Maybe you’re saving to study abroad, and the E-term where you travel is one of these moments for you. Maybe it’s getting married or moving somewhere new.

2.  Next add smaller items that you want to accomplish, like volunteering weekly, becoming an RA, or taking a music class. Nothing is too small to put on the timeline if it is meaningful to you!

3. Now, think of the steps you need to take to accomplish those goals. If you want to get married, maybe at some point in the next few years you want to prioritize relationships. Mark that on the calendar. If you don’t know what career you’d like, maybe you want to add a few internships to the timeline to help you figure that out.

4. Finally, choose at least 5 things are on your timeline that you are most worried about accomplishing. Maybe one is a dream that feels far-fetched; maybe another is something you’re worried you don’t have the skills to accomplish. For each of those items, develop a plan B and plan C. *It might be good to include your major as one these items as many students change course during their time at BSC! Write your plans B & C in a paragraph and submit it with your timeline.
