What are some of the things you value when thinking about a career? Is it just salary? Is it travel and meeting new people? Do you want to change the world - or at least the small corner of the world where you are working? Or are you ok with just punching a clock? What about work/life balance - would 60 hours a week be ok with you or do you want to be able to pick up your kids from daycare or meet friends or dinner?
Obviously there are no right or wrong answers to this but I think it's something we don't talk about enough during your undergraduate time. This is not related to environmental careers in particular but still valuable.
