Hello everyone! My name is Connor West. I'm from Marietta, Georgia. I'm a biology major on the pre med tract. I plan on going to med school after BSC and getting into pediatrics. I've always been interested in medicine and working with little kids, so I think that is a perfect field for me. My plan is to be a pediatrician, would love to work at a pediatric hospital. From this class, I really want to learn about how diseases spread from organism to organism and how the disease starts as well as the process of developing vaccines for it. This has always been a big interest of mine because my dad works at the CDC and is a public health analyst. He works with emergency preparedness in the territory of Puerto Rico in case if there is ever an outbreak and he always tells me all the cool studies they do on the diseases at the CDC and I just want to know more information about diseases. Neat fact about me is that I lived in Italy for four years. My dad was in the Air Force before working at the CDC, so my family has moved around a lot. Italy was an awesome experience, I wish I could remember more I was pretty young when I lived there. If I could vacation anywhere, I would want to go to Switzerland because I know they have good ski resorts there and I've never got to snowboard or ski. I also just love the snow.
