Hi everyone, my name is Katlyn Jones. I am a freshman here at BSC and I plan to major in Health Sciences to led me on the pre-med track toward becoming a Physical Therapist. I am from a small town called Pembroke, North Carolina. It is about seven and half hours from here so I am very used to traveling and long drives. I plan to stay on the pre-med track toward the pre-physical therapy program and eventually get my doctorate degree. From this class, I want to learn about how these diseases are getting spread so easily without anyone knowing the cause and once these diseases are spread throughout what preventative measures do they take to help reduce the spread of the disease and kill it completely?
If I could travel anywhere in the world without time and money being an issue I would go to Athens, Greece. I think it is so beautiful and majestic and me and my sister have always talked about taking a trip there together. There's a few museums I'd like to visit but I would most likely just like to go sightseeing and take artsy pictures while I'm there but honestly if time and money was not an issue I would probably take lots of trips to Florida because my dad stays there and I love to go to Disney, it's one of the most magical places on earth and I spend majority of my summers in Florida anyway so getting to go to Disney a lot would just be a plus.
