Hey guys! My name is Morgan McGuire and I'm from Reeltown, Alabama... and no it's not a real town. I am majoring in biology and I want to go on the pre-med track. After I graduate from Birmingham-Southern I would love to study at UAB. When I 'grow up' I want to be a pediatrician because I absolutely love kids as well as medicine. I'm looking forward to learning about diseases, where they come from, how to treat and prevent them as well as how to help those that are affected by the diseases. One neat fact about me is where I'm from. When I was younger the first thing people would ask me when I told them where I'm from was "is that even a real town?" and the answer is no. Reeltown doesn't even have a zip code because it's so small and I graduated with about forty other students. If money and time weren't an issue I would want to travel to Europe. Not exactly one specific place in Europe, but a bunch of different locations such as Paris, London, Venice, Rome, Naples, and pretty much the whole continent. I want to go to Europe because I feel like there's so many places to visit, so much awesome history, and beautiful architecture. And I hear the food is really good in those places and I am most definitely a food lover. When I’m in Europe I not only want to go to the tourist attractions, but I also want to live like a local.
Hey Morgan! I was considering the bio and pre-med track because it is very interesting all the living organisms and how everything works together in animals as well as medicine. But physics and engineering just seemed a bit more interesting to me. How was it going to a school with not very many people in your grade then coming to here which is still relatively small but definitely bigger than what you are used to? I for sure want to travel Europe too! All the places there sound awesome to go see and tour and definitely to try the food will be a priority.

Hi Morgan! I am so happy that we could have another class together! I think it is so crazy that you only had forty people in your graduating class! I have about 90 and I thought that was too small. I had to opportunity to travel to Europe about two years ago and visited Spain, France, and Italy. It was so cool because it was so different than where we are from because of their architecture and the different clothing trends they have. I think the coolest thing I did when I was there was I biked through Barcelona, Spain.

Hey Morgan!! Wow only fourty people that’s very very small I went to a high school that was twice the student population of birmingham southern and it was way too big. It is great that you are looking into a career in pediatrics I have always been torn between going into pediatric medicine or more family based medicine. Nice to know there’s another foodie in this class I love to eat especially foreign foods. What’s your favorite dish and what kind of food is it?
