Rachel, I really like that you used Latin names when creating your disease, it makes it so realistic. It’s also awesome that you tied it back into the book so closely when talking about the bats, and I think that one of the key points the book teaches is that bats are extremely effective hosts because of the reasons you listed. I also thought you drew some very interesting parallels between your virus and some of the ones we read about like Lassa virus and HIV. This gave It context and made your disease seem more realistic. I think you did a great job creating a disease, and would be very worried if something like this were ever to surface.
