Abby you make an interesting point with the new coronavirus outbreak as having the potential of blowing up into becoming the next big one. I think this is a real possibility since cases of the virus have been confirmed at both Arizona State and Miami University (OH) both of which I have friends who are students there. This validated the threat of the coronavirus for me since Miami is only an hour away from my hometown and since its so close to me geographically it prompted the realization that it could possibly spread both from the western US at ASU as well as potentially south and east from Ohio. While I do not think it will be as big of an outbreak as the 1918 flu it still has the potential to cause wider devastation in America than many initially expected it to stay overseas.
