Hi all, my name is Hannah and I am a sophomore biology major from Fishers, IN, which is just a bit north east of the center of Indiana. I hope to someday either work in conservation or do some research in ecology, David Attenborough is my hero. By the end of the semester, all I need is to know for certain that with my genes, I will never have blonde babies, regardless of who I marry. Nothing against blonds, I just want my kids to have my dark hair. I also want to learn more about the specific ways genetic mutations manifest themselves in people. A neat fact about me is that I can move my ears up and down a bit. I think it's called a vestigial trait but I suppose we will learn for certain in this class. Another neat fact is that I can make the call of a house wren. Dr. Duncan taught me how in his bird class last jan term. My dream vacation is to go all around the world and see the different types of architecture, specifically old churches and cathedrals because that's kind of spooky and cool. I would also like to go to Japan to visit my grandma because I miss her (and her cooking). I still have about 30 words left. I am very excited for this class and this semester. In high school I played softball? I did not like it very much. Thank you all very much for your time.
Hello Hannah, I am also from Indiana, but I am from Fort Wayne which is in the northeast corner of Indiana. I have been to Fishers, Indiana for swim meets with my club team. Fishers is a cool city; they are always building onto the high school its never not under construction. That is a good idea to go on an all around the world trip that would be so much fun to see all the different types of cathedrals and churches because they have so much history and stories behind them. I think going to Japan would be a lot of fun too. I feel like Japan would be so beautiful and eye opening to see because it would be very different from the U.S.

I can do the ear thing too! Did you know that if you combine it with wiggling your eyebrows, your hairline moves too?
Also, I love that you still remember the wren call! I wish I had asked Dr.Duncan to teach me that =P

Hey Hannah! I have only ever driven through Indiana but it has always been really pretty and grassy. Aren’t there windmills in Indiana? I feel like I saw some there. I took an environmental systems and society class in high school which was basically all about how we interact with the environment and it was super interesting. Now I love to watch nature documentaries and actually understand some of the concepts of conservation. I had a friend who was on the bird watching E term and she had so many beautiful pictures of birds! Did you have a favorite species?

What up, Hannah! So many people have replied to your forum post so I figured I would jump on the bandwagon. I find your statements regarding assurance against blonde hair hilarious. I think your dark hair is beautiful and should be passed on for generations. The most beautiful architecture I've ever seen is The Cathedral of the Holy Cross and Saint Eulalia, also known as the Barcelona Cathedral. The cathedral was still under construction when I saw it but is now complete and standing tall in all of its massive glory. I too miss my grandma and her cooking; however, she lives in Alabama. She makes some of the best chicken and dumplings and if that is not the most southern thing I have ever types I do not know what is, thank you and goodnight!
