Hi! I'm a biology major, a chem minor, and hopefully also a distinction in public health studies student if I can manage it. I'm from Marietta, Georgia (which is north of Atlanta, if that helps), and I want to be a pediatric infectious disease physician, which involves hospital epidemiology, infection control, antimicrobial stewardship, and treating children with HIV, multidrug-resistant infections, respiratory illnesses such as respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), and fever of unknown origin. (Ask me if you want to learn more about any of those, but stop me if I launch into a spiel.)

Interesting facts: my mother is a literature teacher, and I love having long philosophical and literary discussions, about anything from free will to Jane Austen to Harry Potter. Also, I have two aged miniature poodles whose pictures I will show you like a proud grandparent if you ever ask, or hint, or anything close to that. I've also been known to rant about the misunderstood history of poodles. You have been warned--feel free to stop me if you're not interested.

If I could go anywhere in the world, I would take my family to Zimbabwe. While it is a political mess, it is also a beautiful country with incredible wildlife and amazing people. My mother grew up there when it was called Rhodesia, and I've heard stories of it my whole life. Ideally, I'd want to go serve in Karanda Mission Hospital.

I'm eager to learn more about viral replication, bacteriophages, and transmission of antimicrobial resistance!

The true crime is that you didn't put the poodle pictures in your form post. LET US SEE THE BABIES! =D
Also? 100% on board to hear about the history of poodles? I heard they make good hunting dogs, but that's all I know.
