Hi! I'm Ansleigh Dailey, and I am a sophomore from Fairhope, Alabama. Although I’m not too far away from home, I stumbled upon BSC because of the volleyball program and immediately fell in love with everything else about the school.

My major is currently health sciences, and I hope to go to physician’s assistant school after. One of my big passions is to go on mission trips! I have been going for the past five years, but this past summer I got to experience a different aspect of my annual trip by going on a medical mission trip. I always knew I wanted to do something in the medical field but this specific mission trip reaffirmed me. After PA school, I hope to continue to go on medical missions and maybe even live abroad somewhere for awhile. I chose to be a PA because it allows me to be flexible with the area of focus I choose. So instead of a career path that is concrete, I hope to be able to bounce between several things such as surgery, orthopedics, or psychiatry.

As far as our Genetics class, I’m super excited to get to learn more about heredity and how geneticists  can use our knowledge of genetics to possibly treat and cure diseases. If money and time were no object, I would go to Greece and live out the best version of Mamma Mia that I could, but more importantly I am in love with their culture and history. One neat fact about me is that I love to read poetry in my free time. Rupi Kaur is my all time favorite poet!

Hey Ansleigh!
I'm also a sophomore here at BSC. My major is health sciences as well. I've always wanted to go on mission trips, I heard about how much fun they are and how much you can learn and experience on them also. I wouldn't mind going on medical mission trips in Africa or somewhere less privilege. One of my favorite things to do in my free time is play volleyball. I played volleyball all through middle school and high school, but stopped when got to college. Along with learning more about cancer cells, I would like to learn more about the breakdown of DNA and heredity.
