Hey I'm Nate Buchanan. I am from Huntsville, AL and I went to Madison Academy High School. I have an older brother who goes to Auburn and a younger sister who is still in high school. I have played baseball my entire life and play baseball here at BSC. Ultimately, I want to go to med school and eventually become an orthopedic surgeon. I hope to learn about how genetic mutations happen and how different mutations effect people. A unique fact about me is that I have broken three bones and the three bones are my jaw, my nose, and I fractured my skull. If time and money were no object I wouldn't just go to one place. I would want to travel all over the world and try to cross as many things as possible off of my bucket list. Some places would include Hawaii, Europe, Bahamas, and other places.

What's up Bucky. It must be nice not being to far from home, only about an hour and a half away. I'm close to two and a half hours from my town but I bet it's nice being able to go back home and see your family without it taking to much time out of your day. I think med school would be really cool and after talking to you at practice and seeing your interest in shadowing surgeons for the Jan term, I think you'd be really good at that profession. I too am excited to learn about different genetic mutations and how it can effect the body. Some cancer seems to run in my family so I think it'd be interesting to be able to see how its caused and learn of different ways the body can attack those mutated genes. It sucks that you've had a lot of head injuries but it's good you've recovered fully from them. I'd definitely like too travel to Hawaii and the Bahamas as well because I'd get to be on the beach which is one of my favorite places to be.
