Hello! My name is Alex Dawson, but I go by Slade. I am a sophomore, and a health science major and would like to go in to physical therapy and hope to have my own clinic. I would like to be more involved on the sports field side of physical therapy and helping athletes recover from injuries. I am from Bessemer, Alabama, and I play on the men's golf team. I have played golf for most of my life and love the competition of the sport, and how many people you meet through golf itself. I would like to learn how a disease can be passed down in a family, and why sometimes it skips a generation. I think it is very interesting how a disease can be passed down through generations but yet it can skip a generation. An interesting fact about me is that have had a heart condition called Aortic Stenosis since I was born. This is a condition in which my hearts aorta valve is just smaller than the average aorta valve. If money and time were not a factor, I would like to go to Spain because that's where my family is from, and would like to see where they lived, and how different it was from how we live now. I would love to go into the city and learn more about the culture and some authentic food they have in Spain. I would also love to play golf in Spain and play on some tour courses in Spain.
