I agree with what you said about the anxiety associated with sending your DNA off for analysis and then having to wait for a response. That would be nerve-wracking. I think it is amazing that this technology exists, but I am not sure if we as a society are ready for this kind of power. As you said, if you were to know that you had a genetic predisposition for premature death you would feel pressure to live life to the fullest which could result in reckless behavior and extra risks. If I were in this situation I fear that I would feel desolate which would also be problematic. I feel like genetic testing is a modern marvel, but it is also a double-edged sword.
