Hi Ansleigh!
I miss seeing you every day in class! I really enjoyed reading your forum post and I liked the points that you made. I also read about short-chain fatty acids and realized that they are important for our hut microbiome. I think that probiotics in foods are super beneficial in creating diversity in the gut microbiome. I always know that my mom would tell me to eat yogurts after I took antibiotics to build up more bacteria in my gut. I agree that if we continue to eat certain foods, our bodies will develop a craving for them which can ultimately be based on from generation to generation. I really like your opinion of just trying to live a healthy lifestyle, and I honestly think that is the best that we can do!
