There is so much good that can come from the research of geneticists, molecular biologists, and other scientists, but what use is new information if the general public is too afraid to accept it because of the mistakes of people like Jankui HE and Hwang Woo-Suk? I think that if HE really cared about the future of HIV and the people he wanted to help, he would have taken people's reactions to his experiment into account. I also agree with you that HE's project raises the issue of genetically modified humans in the future. I think the scientific community has a lot to think about when it comes to what we can do versus what we should do.
