Hey Palmer! Just wanted today that my dad also raced and after so long of getting beaten and banged it didn't help as he got older. I also agree with you that opioids are not the best way to cope with chronic pain. But, also alcohol and nicotine are just as bad for you as opioids. Also, stress has a big factor on the body it can hurt the body in so many ways, physically and mentally, which does not help with chronic pain. Also, I think that neurostimulation therapy is pretty cool and how it changes the signals that are being sent back to the brain. I agree with you on the psychological factors I think they play a big role in pain perception and also think its cool that our minds can affect how much we perceive pain.
