Wow, this is awesome to think about because this is literally my dream. If I were to travel the world for one full year I would love to be a traveling nurse with a contract for a week at a time! I would rent an Air bnb in different cities and just explore! I don't know if you can do a week at a time but I would FIND a way. If that didn't work out then I would be a locums tenens nurse where if a certain hospital or health care facility is short on workers for a week, then I would go and work for a week at a time. I would also love to be a flight attendant and just get jobs where I can travel for a week at a time! I don't know if that would be possible to stop for a week at a time but in this experiment it would. I would absolutely LOVE this experiment. My dream is to travel after college anyways so this would be incredible. I believe this experiment would definitely change the way I look at life and make me more appreciative (although I already am so thankful) of the friends and family I have at home since I will be gone for so long. I will experience certain cultures that I have never seen before and make the most amazing connections with people all around the world. Theres no specific order but I would love to travel to Orvieto in Italy, Athens in Greece, Normandy in France, Buena Vista in Colorado, Limerick in Ireland, Margate in London, Malaga in Spain, Casablanca in Morocco, Bellagio Italy, and Golden Beach in Australia. I doubt any of that is possible but it would be SO COOL. I would also just love to go to any town in the US or any town in Italy.
Hey Elizabeth,
I think it is cool you want to be nurse. I also said that I would want tp be a nurse and travel around the world to treat people. I also think it is cool that you would want to be a flight attendant. My uncle is actually a pilot and my aunt his wife is a flight attendant. She says she loves it and the job is so flexible, but you still make good money. I am not really one that had a passion to travel the world. I like my little bubble where I am. Sometimes traveling out of the country scares me so I think that it's really cool you want to travel after college. I also think that this experience would make me more appreciative of life because I would get to see how less fortunate other parts of the world are.

Hey Elizabeth-
I can tell that we share the same passion for travel! I think it is really nice that you would want to spend your year of travel as a nurse helping out in areas where you are needed most. That is really similar to what Mackenzie said she would do, which is a really neat coincidence. Your idea about being a flight attendant is cool too; I used to think I wanted to do that after I flew for the first time when I was younger! And I agree – traveling can definitely broaden your perspective and make you appreciate the simple luxuries that we might take for granted.

Hey Elizabeth! I loved reading your forum and thought it was very interesting. I thought your idea of being a traveling nurse and working in every different place. I also think it is cool that you actually want to travel after college. Are you thinking of staying or just traveling and come back? I also said that this experience would make me more appreciative of my life. I also want to go to Spain, part of my family tree is from there so I think it would be cool to visit places where they lived. I also think it would be cool to get to see all these new cultures and make great connections with new people. I think the only thing that would be bad is being away from family and friends for so long and not seeing anyone for a whole year.

Hey Elizabeth!
I think this whole forum is great and I have loved reading everyone's responses because they are all just so unique to them. I think either job sounds like so much fun and you would get to meet so many new people. How long do you want to travel after college? I think this experiment would be life-changing as well and I don't think that anyone would pass up this opportunity because I sure wouldn't I am also planning on traveling after college before going to grad school. I think everyone needs to get out and see the world while they can. I feel like this post is right up your alley with what you want to do and that is so cool to see you write about it.

Hey, Elizabeth, I absolutely love the idea of this experiment as well! Travel nursing is a wonderful opportunity to be able to travel to new places and experience new cultures! I really hope one day you can do this. I love your top 10 locations! Wow, what beautiful places I hope one day we will both get the opportunity to see them. Would you try to spend time with the locals at each place you visit? Because my favorite part of traveling is getting to know the people that make the culture! What kind of medicine would you practice? Like would you have to just be an RN or could you be a traveling CRNA?

Hi Elizabeth! All of those places sound super cool to visit. One of my favorites on your list would have to be Normandy, France. I have never been there but also wanted to go! There is so much history that we should experience and pay our respect to. I also love that you have Casablanca! Morocco seems like such a cool place to go to and Casablanca is so vibrant and full of life, living there would be a great experience. It seems like you really like Italy, I would imagine you would eat such wonderful and authentic cuisine and get to know the locals pretty well which sounds like an amazing experience.
