I really love this forum because it allows people to see what other classmates’ interests are when it comes to traveling and a career possibly outside their desired path. As for me I would love to travel because it’s not something I’ve gotten to do when I was younger and I’ve always been fascinated by it! As for where I would travel, I think it’d be great to go to a different place a month. Starting off in Key West, making my way down to the Bahamas, then I would go to Cuba, LA, China, Canada, Boston, Colorado, Australia, and Italy as my top ten with two more to spare. As for a job I think it’d depend on where I was at the time. I think when I was off next to the ocean, I’d love to be a surf instructor and when I was in Colorado the same but for snowboarding. For some Historical places such as Boston, China, and Italy, I think it would be a lot of fun to be a tour guide so that I could really get to know those cultures better and learn/see some amazing history along the way. I would absolutely love this experiment because It’d give me a chance to do what I wasn’t able to do as a child.  Being able to experience views and feeling that I never thought I’d get a chance to would really help me live more before I go into the real world. And with the jobs, it’d be great to help people who want to learn and feel the true beauty of what’s around us that we miss while we’re living our lives in books. This would be an opportunity many dream about but never get the chance to live, so why not go and live life for a year!

Hi Palmer!
I agree this has been by far the most interesting forum to read and reply to. It is interesting you would start in Key West but eventually make your way around the world with stops such as China, Australia, and Italy. Being a surf or snowboard instructor would be so fun and would allow you to meet people from around the area and visiting the area. The opportunity to travel is one of the greatest gifts and allows an individual to expand their mindset and ideas of the world. I can only imagine some of the opportunities for growth some of these places could provide.

What's up Palmer! I too have not gotten to travel much growing up and it is something I have always wanted to do. LA and Boston are pretty cool but I'm personally not a big fan of big cities. I liked Boston a lot better than LA, and I got to go see a Red Socks game and caught a foul ball (probably why I liked it so much more than LA). One place I didn't have on mine but would love to go would be Australia. I think Australia would be a really cool place to visit, especially because we would actually be able to communicate with the people who live their. It's a good idea to be a tour guide at these places because you would be forced to learn about the cultures and that would be a lot of fun.

Hey, Palmer! I really enjoyed reading your forum post! I think it is so interesting to see what everyone would choose to do with this opportunity. I also really liked your choice of jobs, too! I love to surf, and I don’t live somewhere with great waves, so it would be really cool to travel places that are known for their surfing. I’m not much of a snowboarder, but I do love to ski! I think teaching people how to these things is a great way to help people learn while still doing things that you enjoy. I also would want to travel to some of the places you mentioned, such as LA and Colorado!
