For my final paper I am writing about Coraline, and whether or not it is a horror film. It’s impossible to deny that horror elements have had a huge influence on the film, but the debate of whether or not its horror still comes up. Most of the debate centers around how its a movie aimed at kids, therefore it shouldn't be conceded horror. In my paper I want to try and determine what makes a movie apart of the horror genre, and if a movie aimed at kids could be conceded a horror film.
