Hi Emma! I also found it noteworthy and interesting that there was such an influence of parallelism in The Rāmāyaṇa. It adds even more depth and offers more opportunities to interpret the text differently between readers, listeners, and tellers. I also began drawing parallels between Rāmā and the Biblical Jesus, so I don't think you are stating anything too far in left field. The fact that both are known to be completely divine in nature but also completely human in nature is a very interesting and spot on parallel.
