We see the same type of behavior in the riots or "peaceful protests" as we did in the still pictures during the civil rights movement. The video states in history still photographs told more of a story than anything else, but in recent years I would have to say the most effective mode of evidence is video. In the past people used photos as clear evidence, especially when it come to a criminal case. Now, we still use photographs as evidence but also must be careful because we know those photos can be altered and tampered with, in a sense we cannot trust our own eyes or the ones trying to convince us.

Back then people were so interested in going to space and  seeing a picture of the Earth and when they finally did, they were amazed. Now we get pictures of all the planets, and are in the works of sending people to live on Mars.  People would trust any photo they saw of the earth because it was unknown.

I thought it was really interesting that the past presidents controlled their photo ops. I can't help but wonder how recent presidents have used photos to convey their message.
