Many of the events that were displayed in the video had an impact in todays society. The Civil rights movement changed the way people live today even the way children learn about the historical event. In pt. 2 of the video they talk about without the photos, the stories told about the concentration camp sound false or exaggerated, until photos were released. I believe that photography of the Civil rights movement changed the way we see the historical event as well as change the way children today grasp the event.
When the first photo of the planet changed the prospective of many people's imagination of earth as well as their lives. After the one snapshot of published, movements began and people began find a new passion and love for earth itself.
In conclusion photography can change the life of those you would never believe. Photographs are often used to even move a jury. courtrooms would show the brutal crime scene just to eliminate the use of the imagination to show just how bad and dangerous the person was. they would also show a completely normal positive photo of the victim to show that she/he was a "great person" and almost looked too perfect and show that "this victim did not deserve what happened to them". Photography today I believe is sometimes taken advantage of, but also something that has just as big of an impact that it did in history.
