Cosette, you wrote this so eloquently! It was fun to read! I enjoyed your statement, "Dharma is so important, because the success of the society depends on pursuit of filling one's role perfectly." Society is made of many pieces and each piece must contribute in order to create excellence for the whole. I envision it as one must fulfill their duty so others can fulfill theirs, as well. All beings are interconnected. This concept of interconnectedness is quite popular in Buddhist teachings and I guess from this conversation alone, Hinduism, as well.
