I find it very interesting that there is a constant subjective nature to women. Rama is a partial incarnation of Vishnu or a avatar and is a great warrior that did everything in a “man’s” way. He didn’t speak lies he didn’t use foul language and many other things that are characterized by Rama in the Hindu culture. He also had a wife, Sita, who he did love, but in a weird way. There are many points in the Ramayana where Rama is consistently putting Sita through strife like when she had to get a chastity test and walk across fire. This is something in my opinion that I’m having a hard time wrapping my head around seeing as though he is seen as a good character.
