Obviously, the main group who benefits are the lead males. But the sole male who has virtually everyone in the story rooting for him and constantly serving him is Rama. Many of these strong, independent characters follow Rama out of an inexplicable sense of loyalty to him. Sita, Laksmana, Hanuman, and Bharata are all examples of at some point them blindly following and advising Rama.
Sita is kidnapped, tormented, and held captive because of her relation to Rama and once she is rescued by Rama, rejected by him. He tells her she is free to go wherever she pleases and instead of taking him up on that offer, she walks into a literal fire to not only prove her fidelity but her overall loyalty and love for Rama (492). She has been on the back burner this entire story and when she is rejected and set free she still chooses Rama. Rama benefits from her actions regardless of his treatment of her. Also, let's not forget that she also dutifully followed him into exile.
Speaking of exile, Laksmana ALSO followed Rama into exile. And before he followed Rama into exile he was roaming the streets threatening to kill anyone who opposes Rama's claim to the throne (137). Laksmana felt so confident in Rama's goodness that he gave up his life to follow him. Which, again, massively benefitted Rama not only physically to have another companion but also to have the support and following of Laksmana.
