A Chinese doctor helped successfully produced three genetically edited babies. He was able to put gene edited embryos in two woman, one of the woman produced twins that both had been genetically edited. The doctor announced that he may have been able to make the babies immune to HIV/Aids disease using the gene editing process. Since the doctor made his finding public, the Chinese government sentenced the doctor to three years in prison for illegal medical practices.
