I found several parts of this book interesting. I found that a lot of this is similar to what I have learned in film classes, which makes sense because film evolved from still photographs. The book mentions the “rules” and “leading the viewer's eye.” I think of the Rule of Thirds which breaks up the frame and uses the objects to bring focus to the subject. The book mentions Influences. Everyone draws their influence from somewhere, which is why there are very few original ideas. The pictures in the book are great examples of a photograph changing the perspective or telling a lie. I see this a lot on Instagram. People post a picture to see if other people see the same thing they do, or something different. There is a lot of information in this book that is based on Fink's first-hand experiences.
