I enjoyed reading Larry Fink's book. The pictures throughout the book were very compelling, and a delight to look at. I caught myself many times just looking at the pictures for a long time. On pg 11 of the girl coming out of the box, there are many ways of perceiving what is actually going on in the picture. I enjoyed reading how he described going to take pictures where he is drawn to by energy. He described that pictures are more than the subject matter and that it is the nature of photography. Larry Fink mentions gathering influences. He enjoys doing a long-term project or just a quick photo opportunity because it allows him to uncover and take many angles of his subjects. This is like how social media is today. We often look at a picture on social media of friends posing. Everyone gets inspired by the angles the person took the photo, and use it for their next post. A picture tells many stories. We are often intrigued by pictures, wondering what they were doing, or what they were wearing. Photography gives an opportunity to see things that you would have never seen before with a camera in your hand.
