Cosette, you make some very good points especially in regards to the overt ploy to ostracize the Muslims. The Indian government's actions remind of the terrible things going on in Myanmar. The country's prime minister, Aung San Suu Kyi has openly rejected Rohingya Muslims and has publicly stated that they are not part of the Burmese people. Her inaction after the genocide of the Rohingya people in Myanmar and her public denial of any wrong doing by the Burmese government has made her an outcast throughout world governments and the UN. Aung San Suu Kyi's political moves heavily mirror those of the Indian government. But hopefully the Indian Muslims' outcome will not mirror the Rohingya's.
