This is my identity collage.
This is in representation of not only my sexuality, but also my late grandpa and his wishes for me to achieve my dreams of being an artist. By achieving those dreams, I know I have to start from the bottom and work my way up to the top of the mountain.
There is a lot going on in this collage, but in a good way. The train in the middle seems kind of out of place amongst all the color though. Also, you replacing the eyes, and blocking out the eyes is very cool. There is so much to take in and it is very interesting to look at.
So, remove the train? I can see what you're saying about it being out of place in regards to my pallette.
I really like how much is in the piece and how it all fits together. I like how it makes you really look at it and take it all in. When I initially looked at this piece I was immediately drawn to the color in the eyes in the top right. Overall I think it is made really well and carefully. Although it is a lot to look at I think it goes nicely together. It really makes a meaningful image.
I am very intrigued by this design. Although there are many different colors, patterns, and images, they flow to create an eye catching image. I think the way you layered the pieces on top of each other was very unique, and you allowed room to reflect many different identity pieces of yourself in the one piece. I especially love the designs in the eyes of each face. The gold eye and triangles coming from the individual in the back, the pink box over the individual in the middle, and the holographic color in the eye of the last in the front. This was an interesting way to add another layer and create a new meaning to the piece.
The contrast of the bright colors and the static images makes the work pop. It has a very retro feel. The only thing that really stands out as off is the white box.
Very interesting collage, seems to be well designed and thought out. I like the different use of color schemes as well as the placement of the pictures. I agree that the train could be used elsewhere.
The eyes are what I was drawn to. The way that you replaced the colors of the eyes is cool. The colors flow really nicely throughout the piece. The white box does a good job to contrast with the other color. Overall, I think this is a great piece.
I really like this collage. I love how it has so many things going on at once but they fit with each other. I also love how you used strong colors that grab our attention and doesn't makes us focus in just one thing, but in the entire design. Great job!
I am first drawn to the blue of what is probably the earth but to me, I see a marble. I like all the different colors used throughout the picture and your eyes bounce all over the place. With your explanation, I start to understand more and more how each image represents you in a different light. I really like the collage overall!
the composition is well balanced and uses warm, cool, and neutral colors. I love the use of a lot of different images, it makes it interesting and keeps my eye moving around the whole piece.
Good job Kaylyn! You can print your image.
