This is a great discussion, Cosette! I think you make a really great point in noting our tendency to make our stories seem finite and rigid, when in actuality there is a whole spectrum of interpretations and implementations of the stories we are researching. This will be a good caveat to to keep in mind as we are continuing our research, because it is valuable to remember the breadth and complexity that each narrative has, especially since they are so closely linked to the culture of a religious tradition.
