I do like my last alternate title because it's engaging, but I still like my original title, as well. It demonstrates the need to study this parable and its different perspectives. Do y'all have any suggestions on how I could intertwine my original and my last alternate title?

I also like the last one because I love the "Deep in the Ditch" phrase, but I think the subtitle is too wordy. Could you just do something like "Deep in the Ditch: An Analysis of the Good Samaritan"? I don't think you need to name that you will look at the various views of the parable; that will come later in your paper. Also, if you like the word necessary you can totally keep it in, but from my outside perspective (having not read your paper), the word "necessary" in your original title does not really add anything to the meaning for me.

I like Rachel's suggestion with one change: "Deep in the Ditch: Reanalysing the Good Samaritan"
