Jesus, as the leader of the Christian movement, is quite a controversial character but His status as King of the Jews is commonly debated in the religious world.  The importance of Him truly being a king is determined mostly by each individual but the author sought out why it WAS important for Jesus to be a king. Using peer-reviewed resources and scripture they used the life of Jesus and His actions to investigate His leadership. The author concluded that Jesus's kingship was important because it would fulfill the previous prophecies in Old Testament scriptures leading up to His life and give a much needed hope of freedom to the Jewish people.
