While reading the Stitch by Stich article I found what the scientist said about how "knitting is a way to reach people" and can be just as powerful as science to be very interesting. I have not studied science beyond the basics, so I know that a lot of it could come across as abstract and foreign. So, for knitting to be a way to link the two is very interesting to me.
In the other reading, it talked about "The Blood Bag Project." I think that this kind of relates to the other Craftivist and her realization of science and knitting being a way to spread the word.
Obviously, some craft out of place is going to catch your eye, so I think that this form of activism would be very productive in terms of garnering attention and spreading awareness.
