The article from PBS news hour was interesting because it got me thinking about how simple things like knitting can make such a big impact. It is really interesting that knitting can be a stress relief for people and be a nice outlet where they’re able to talk about things they otherwise wouldn’t be able to. I find it really interesting and cool that the reason most women took up knitting as a form of expression and it makes a connection because my grandmother is big into knitting and has knit many blankets for me in the past that were personal to me. i do wonder why when the women suffrage movement was getting more active that they wanted to take a stand against knitting and sewing, but it’s a way of expressing yourself in a way that could draw attention. If anything, I think that what they knit can have a significant impact on their mission and push things to go into a positive direction. The article had me thinking about these things!
